Itinerary

Day 1: ISTANBUL
Upon arrival to ISTANBUL Airport, meet your guide and transfer to Hotel, (Optional Dinner Cruise Night)

Day 2: ISTANBUL
After breakfast, Tour of "Sultan Ahmet Center", the heart of the "Old City" from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled. Hagia Sophia, the Church of the Divine Wisdom, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. Blue Mosque, facing Hagia Sophia, famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. Hippodrome, center of sportive events (chariot races, athletics) and political activities of the old city. Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating the Hippodrome. Grand Covered Bazaar, most attractive shopping center and the biggest "souk" in the world with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewelers, gold, carpets, leatherwear and souvenir. Topkapı Palace, residence of Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, sacred Islamic relics of Prophet Mohammed, kitchen, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy section etc. Live guide commentary is not allowed in special sections. (Harem is not included in the program) Rüstem Paşa Mosque, designed by the court architect Sinan for the Grand Vizier of Suleyman the Magnificent. A typical sample of Islamic architecture amidst the rows of shops near the Spice Bazaar, famed with its exquisite and colorful tiles set in floral and geometric designs. Overnight in ISTANBUL

Day 3: SAFRANBOLU - Ottoman Life and Houses
Pick up from your hotel and drive to SAFRANBOLU. We will see further east inland is the charming city of SAFRANBOLU. Step back in time inside the lovely old wood style traditional homes, which are unique in Turkey for their outstanding design and construction. UNESCO recognized Safranbolu as an international cultural area and a world heritage. First we will visit Tokatli Canyon. There are Cyrstal Terrace, converse house, exciting canyon lanscape. After this natural beauty , visit to Old SAFRANBOLU Baazar. And last station is Yoruk Village . (‘Yoruk’ means nomadic turk) this museum village totally reflect 16. Century ottoman public life. Visit to Sipahioglu House and meet with auntie Filiz. She will teach us real life in ottoman period. Specially old Laundry Section is so remarkable to understand this life style. You can see pre-industrial Ottoman Life. After the tour return to hotel.

Day 4: ANKARA - Ataturk Mausoleum
After Breakfast drive to ANKARA – capital of Turkey. Our ANKARA sightseeing highlights include the magnificent Ataturk Mausoleum and Museum, the final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who was regarded as the father of modern Turkey. The mausoleum features a mix of different architectural styles from various Anatolian civilizations museum. Overnight in ANKARA

Day 5: CAPPADOCIA
After early breakfast and drive to CAPPADOCIA, we will visit Tuz Lake on the road. Overnight in CAPPADOCIA

Day 6: CAPPADOCIA
OPTIONAL HOT AIR BALLOON After breakfast and visit to Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Drive to Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Drive to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak River, the longest river of Turkey. In the afternoon, visit Goreme Open Air Museum (Dark Church is excluded; entrance requires additional admission fee) to visit the churches where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Various panoramic viewpoints of castles and fairy chimneys such as Esentepe for Goreme valley, Uchisar and its castle, Pigeon Valley. Then to Kaymakli (or Ozkonak) Underground City, the place where early Christians hid from persecutors. Returning to the hotel for overnight.

Day 7: ISTANBUL
After breakfast and drive to ISTANBUL. Overnight in ISTANBUL

Day 8: End of the Tour
Transfer from hotel to Airport..
