Itinerary

Day 1: CAPPADOCIA
Meet at the hotel lobby in the morning wıth your guide and visit to Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Drive to Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Drive to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak River, the longest river of Turkey. In the afternoon, visit Goreme Open Air Museum (Dark Church is excluded; entrance requires additional admission fee) to visit the churches where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Various panoramic viewpoints of castles and fairy chimneys such as Esentepe for Goreme valley, Uchisar and its castle, Pigeon Valley. Then to Kaymakli (or Ozkonak) Underground City, the place where early Christians hid from persecutors. Returning to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2: CAPPADOCIA
Free day cappadocıa. Optıonal hot aır balloon & optıonal jeep safarı.

Day 3: KONYA - Mevlana Museum
After breakfast drive to Konya Lunch will be in Konya Mevlana Museum and the striking green-tiled mausoleum of Mevlana will take you to the peaceful world of the Sufi sect known as Whirling Dervishes. Overnight in Konya.

Day 4: PAMUKKALE - Hierapolis - Leodicea - Ancient Pool
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel in Konya and depart for PAMUKKALE. Here you can enjoy the CALCIUM TERRACES of PAMUKKALE (COTTON CASTLE) and the ruins of ancient site HIERAPOLIS. Here we will also see the ANCIENT POOL which is referred as Cleopatra’s Pool. The city was a healing center even back in BC times. The water from the natural springs have been scientificly confirmed that it cures some diseases under certain conditions and with hygienic use. Then we will walk around this natural phenomenon and have the option of walking in the waters of the natural springs. It will be a very nice experience to visit the spectacular calcium terraces where you will be able to take magnificent photos which are even better than the ones on postcards and on internet. Next we will have free time for lunch. After lunch we will head to LAODICEA. The city’s significance is due to its Christian History as it was one of the “Seven Churches of Revelation”. In the site, the theatre, agora, recently excavated temple do worth to see as well as the recently excavated church which is one of the oldest churches in this region. Day 5: KUSADASI - Ephesus - Mary House
After breakfast, Drive to Selcuk, set off for Selcuk Village and explore EPHESUS Ancient City, one of the world’s most outstanding archaeological sites. You will find awesome structures such as the Library of Celsius, Hadrian Temple, Marble Street and Agora. EPHESUS is also one of the 7 Churches of Revelation and holds the House of Virgin Mary, Virgin MARY and St John were said to have lived in Ephesus and died there. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 6: IZMIR- Cesme - Alacatı
After breakfast and Drive to IZMIR. We head to tour CESME & ALACATI. It takes approximately 1.5 hours. We arrive at ALACATI and give you free time about 1 hour then drive to CESME. We will have lunch and after lunch we wıll have free time for about 1 hour in Cesme Bazaar. You will see Turkish hand-made leather, carpet, souveniers, jewellery, pottery and Turkish sweets. Visiting CESME Castle as an optional. If you would like to swim in any private beaches in Cesme we can give you about 2 hours. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Izmir.

Day 7: ISTANBUL
After early breakfast and drive to ISTANBUL, and start the ISTANBUL half day city tour whıch covers 500-year-old Grand Bazaar, a maze of over 4,000 stalls and shops selling leather goods, jewelers, handicrafts, ceramics, Turkish coffee and other local products. Next, start Bosphorous Cruise trip, Here, you will be able to soak in the sights and sounds of Turkey’s Asian and European sectors as you cruise through this water channel that is the very beat of life in Istanbul. Witness the magnificent architecture and the interesting activities of our local people. We will get a chance of taking photso of Rumeli Castle and Anatolia Castle build by the conquerer of Istanbul in 1453. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 8: ISTANBUL
After breakfast, tour of "Sultan Ahmet Center", the heart of the "Old City" from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled. Hagia Sophia, the Church of the Divine Wisdom, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. Blue Mosque, facing Hagia Sophia, famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. Hippodrome, center of sportive events (chariot races, athletics) and political activities of the old city. Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating the Hippodrome. Grand Covered Bazaar, most attractive shopping center and the biggest "souk" in the world with nearly 4000 shops selling antiques, jewelers, gold, carpets, leatherwear and souvenir. Topkapı Palace, residence of Ottoman Sultans exhibiting imperial treasury, sacred Islamic relics of Prophet Mohammed, kitchen, Chinese porcelain, weapons, calligraphy section etc. Live guide commentary is not allowed in special sections. (Harem is not included in the program) Rüstem Paşa Mosque, designed by the court architect Sinan for the Grand Vizier of Suleyman the Magnificent. A typical sample of Islamic architecture amidst the rows of shops near the Spice Bazaar, famed with its exquisite and colorful tiles set in floral and geometric designs. Overnight in Istanbul.
